Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is fully owned by the German Government and works in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. To combat the negative impacts of the drastically increasing amounts of plastic waste in the recent decades in India’s environment, the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) has joined hands with GIZ to support the reduction of plastic waste entering the environment of the two Ganga cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.
The objective of the project Aviral- Reducing Plastic Waste in the Ganga is to reduce the plastic waste entering the cities environment by strengthening an integrative and improved plastic waste management system in these two cities. The efforts will also contribute to achieving the objectives of the flagship programs of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (Namami Gange) and the Clean India Mission (Swachh Bharat Mission).
Supply, Delivery and Installation of the FIRE SAFETY EQUIPMENT for setting up Material Recovery Facility at Sarai Site in Haridwar. The selected firm will be working in close coordination and supervision with a GIZ team.
